Julia + Jamie | Wedding in Malaga

September 29, 2010  |   0 comments

Back in August Jennifer and I made the trip to a new venue for us and we were not to be disappointed. The stunning venue of Hotel Corjito Bravo for the long awaited wedding of Julia and Jamie, I was lucky enough to have met them on a few occasions and we also took some time a few days prior to the wedding for a pre wedding session. All the prep took place at the hotel before making the short trip to the stunning village of Frigiliana near Nerja. The temperature as guests arrived was touching 42c! Much respect for Julia and Jamie for managing to look remarkable cool ( or it could have been Jamie´s sunglasses ). After drinks outside the church we all made out way back to the venue for cocktails and a wonderful dinner and speeches, a big thanks to Carla from Reviva for making everything run so smoothly and to DJ Pedro . A real pleasure working you all and hope you enjoy a few favourites below and your starring role in Confeti Magazine please Click Here to view the SLIDESHOW

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting up with Amelia and Des at the studio, the wedding is next year and one I am really looking forward too. I always think a pre wedding shoot is a great way to get to know a couple and a great way to get some fun and contemporary images, great to have met you both and hope you enjoy a few of my faves. J

Lisa + David | Wedding in Benalmadena

September 27, 2010  |   3 comments

Seems like ages ago but 4 weeks ago we were privileged to document the day of Lisa and David in Benalmadena Pueblo and Sunset beach. The day began at the hotel with the prep and the coolest lady in the room was most definitely Lisa! The ceremony took place in the stunning church on top of the hill in Benalamadena Pueblo and after a bit of site seeing by Lisa on the way to the church the ceremony went without a hitch and although the heat nearly sidelined a groomsmen, Jennifer and her supply of glucose sweets saved the day. After the ceremony it was back to the beach for cocktails and then dinner and speeches back at Sunset beach followed by dancing into the early hours with Ian Preston a big thanks to Kerry and the team from Celebrations in Spain always a treat to work with. If you would like to view the Click Here hope you enjoy a few that caught the eye and thanks again for such a great day. J x

Jeremy Standley: Thanks Daniel for your kind words. ( September 29, 2010 12:45 pm )

Dave and Lisa: Jeremy, Thanks to you (and Jennifer) so much for capturing our day so beautifully. The photos were more than we ever could have hoped or wished for they are absolutely amazing. We especially like how you captured the amount of time that Lisa was late for the Church! We will always have a record of that now. Thanks again and we'll be in touch soon. Daniel Colleman: The consistency that can be appreciated in your weddings reveals a fact that no many people can think of: the experience is your very first warranty, and your best. No one has a doubt about who has been on the road for years, working not only to keep a beautiful passion shining on, but for living, and that's always something that has to be respected. Congratulations for your beautiful work and keep going. Daniel. ( September 27, 2010 7:06 pm )

Maire + Diarmuid | Wedding in Ireland

September 22, 2010  |   0 comments

Well were to begin with this one. I first “met” Maire through facebook to enquire about a wedding in Spain which for various reasons did not happen, to cut a long story short Maire was really keen to have me document her day in Ireland and whilst I think some of her friends thought she was slightly mad getting a photographer from Spain after some encouragement from Mum the date was free and off I went to SUNNY Ireland. I was really lucky to have met Maire and her rock star groom Diarmuid when I was in Ireland in April at another wedding. I arrived in Gorey on the Friday and was met with lots of smiling faces and the normal wedding eve organised chaos. Maire and Diarmuid choose to hand-make all of the table decorations so it was an amusing site to see Diarmuid looking more like he was in the middle of an arts and crafts class than about to go to his wedding rehearsal. Before we headed off to the rehearsal at the Pugin designed church of St Michael´s I had one of those rather bizarre experiences, whilst chatting in the kitchen to Maria I mentioned I lived near Marbella to which she replied ” Oh I don´t suppose you know a Deidre O´Regan” !!!!!!! Dee´s first cousin no less, what are the chances. Anyway enough trivia, after the rehearsal we headed off to a local pub and discuss the following days events whilst of course sampling a Guinness. The wedding day started at Maire and Diarmuid´s house on the edge of town and then a short drive to the church in the super cool VW camper. Diarmuid being a musician himself there was no shortage of musical talent in the church and not to mention the videographer who not only operated 2 cameras but played in the church! We made our way back to the Riverside hotel via the local pub where Maire and Diarmuid met and as you do we all enjoyed a game of pool then an evening full of great speeches and more great music, what a weekend, exhausted just writing about it, thanks again guys and hope you enjoy a few faves and to view the slideshow Click Here

Emma + Steven | Marbella Wedding

September 22, 2010  |   0 comments

August is often a month for smaller more intimate weddings and Emma and Steven had a fabulous wedding in Marbella followed by reception and dinner in a stunning villa near Estepona. We started with prep and a big thanks to Liza for her great hair and makeup work. The ceremony took place in Puerto Banus and despite the heat everything went perfectly with beautiful floral arrangements by Maxine ( get well soon ). After the ceremony it was back to the villa and canapes and cocktails followed by dinner by the pool followed by people going in the pool! A great day was had by all and massive thanks to Heather and the team, I think they have fed me more often than Dee this summer ( I so hope she doesn´t read this ) the party was getting into full swing as we left with the one and only Ian Preston keeping everyone entertained long into the night. Great working with you all and hope you enjoy the images, to view the slideshow Click Here

Jennifer + Iain | Wedding in Gaucin, Spain

September 14, 2010  |   0 comments

Back in August, Jennifer and I made the trip up to Gaucin and the wonderful La Herriza . First time I had been there in a couple of years so it was great to work with David and the team once more. Jennifer and Iain both originally hail from Scotland but both now live in London and were joined by friends and family for a fantastic day in the August sunshine. To my surprise we were gifted with a fairly cool day by August standards ( I am serious) but there was certainly no lack of sunshine. The day started with prep back at the hotel with hair and makeup by Kathryn Parr after which we jumped on the bus to the church, I fear something may have been lost in translation but after a few minutes the driver did eventually take us were we needed to go and abandoned the sight seeing tour.

The sight of kilts walking through the village on a Saturday afternoon is not one I shall forget in a hurry and nor will the locals I suspect, after the ceremony it was back to the hotel for cocktails lots of cold beer and speeches. We left just before DJ Pedro had them dancing long into the night, a big thanks guys a great day and really hope you enjoy a few that caught the eye and also Click Here
