Muriel + Jonathan | Finca la Concepcion | Marbella

Amazing wedding, amazing party, or both, both of course! I probably only document about one jewish wedding a year unfortunatley so I was very keen for the wedding of Muriel and Jonathan to come around and oh boy was it worth the wait. Of course the setting of Finca La Concepcion is one thing but having all your close family and friends around is another and having what must go down as one of the all time best wedding dance parties is something else.

Watching the rehearsal the day before I did get a good idea that dancing and music would play a big part in this wedding and from dancing down the aisle from the bridal party dancing and music was pretty much non stop until the very early hours. We have all been to those weddings where no one dances but this is probably the only wedding I have been to when no-one would stop dancing! box after box of party hats and props arrived on the dance floor every half hour and I must say combined with some pretty awesome DJ ing from Ian Preston it was a party I will not forget in a hurry, although several that were in attendance may.

Later in the evening we were all treated to a guest appearance from “Prince” Jonathan is a huge fan and the image of him playing air guitar without a care in the world is probably one of my favourites from the entire wedding.

A huge thanks to you both for making it such an amazing wedding and if your guests did not get a chance to view the Photobooth images please do.

Really looking forward to designing your album with you both

J

Natalie + Scott | La Cabane Wedding | Marbella

“Best day ever” where the 3 words Nat used to describe her wedding day to me and she was right! Despite being the hottest day of the year nothing was going to stop these guys from having an amazing wedding at La Cabane at the end of June. The ceremony took place in the gardens of Los Monteros and was followed by cocktails and canapes in the lovely gardens. The real treat for everyone was the dinner by the sea in the pool area of La Cabane, breathtaking views to go with the fine dining and speeches. A surprise firework display really was the icing on the cake before moving inside to dance the night away.

It was great working with you all and a big thanks to all your family for their wonderful hospitality throughout the day, hope you enjoy a few faves from the day.

The Italian range of albums.

July 22, 2011  |   0 comments

” Don’t make something unless it is both necessary and useful; but if it both necessary and useful, don’t hesitate to make it BEAUTIFUL”

A perfect way to describe this beautiful new range of albums and that is what is printed on the cloth that come with every album. Over the years I have tried and tested many many album suppliers but, to be honest very few come up to the mark. Some make great books with poor printing, some offer amazing printing and poor binding and when it comes to presentation in my book most of them fall short.

I had pretty much given up much hope of finding albums that tick all the boxes but several months ago I was fortunate be contacted by a small boutique book and album company in Italy and after numerous video meeting a couple of weeks ago I received my first sample and was blown away with the quality and presentation. With hundreds of cover choices, styling and leather finishes, customised presentation boxes you can only expect from Italians they really are breathtaking in every way, and the printing is really some of the finest I have seen.

I am a firm believer if it is worth investing in beautiful wedding photography then a beautiful album just makes sense, all of my 2012 packages will now include these and I will of course still be offering Queensberry but now they have a perfect partner.

If you would like any further information on these albums then please just drop me a line.

Faye + Chris | Finca La Concepcion Wedding

July 19, 2011  |   1 comment

A few weeks back it was time for my second visit to the Finca which out of 40 weddings in 6 countries this year, it is the only venue I am shooting more than once and what a place to have to do that!

I met Faye and Chris way back in February and had been looking forward to the wedding for ages! Close family and friends joined them in the Spanish sunshine for a absolutely stunning wedding celebration, Faye ( and Chris ) just about managed to keep back the tears during a wonderful ceremony by Lizzie Marriage ( yes that is her real name )

After the ceremony guests enjoyed drinks and canapes by the pool before a sumptuous feast in front of the Finca and some really heart felt speeches. Of course like any amazing wedding as soon as the dancing starts you can be sure all the boys will tuck their socks in their trousers and merrily dance the night away!

Thanks for letting me be part of such a wonderful day and really hope you enjoy the images.

Alid + Vip | Soller | Mallorca Wedding

July 15, 2011  |   1 comment

Well what can I say about this wedding other than I hope the images speak for themselves but it must rank amongst one of my favourite weddings for many reasons. Alid and Vip are a charming couple who reside in Singapore and who extensively travel the world with work. I have been fortunate enough to document several other photographers weddings in the past and shooting for another photographer is always a great privilege, Vip is serioulsy talented photographer himself so please take a second to check out his website hopefully he will be sharing some of his work from their epic honeymoon to the Galapagos and South America, 5 countries, 10 cities, 16 flights or something like that.

If you have never been to Mallorca then my advise would be to go! it is simply one of the most breathtalking islands anywhere in the world and Alid and Vip found an amazing venue hidden away near Soller Cas’Hereu a mixture of traditional architecture and stunning interior design.

The events started on the Wednesday with dinner at Ben’s Davall which offers breathtaking views of the med. The wedding itself had a little bit of everything a mixture of Sri Lankan culture and I think you get a pretty idea of the emotion when the minister starts to shed a tear half way through the ceremony. I must mention a couple real stars of the show and those are Alid’s grandmothers, her grandparents were the very first German tourists to ever arrive in Mallorca on an old propeller plane in the 50′s and whilst her grandfather could not be there to share this special day it was amazing to have these two wonderful ladies present for the wedding and I think everytime I see images of them I have to reach for the tissues.

After the ceremony everyone relaxed and enjoyed cocktails and took lots of pictures!, photographers do tend to have lots of photographer friends, I don’t think I have ever seen so many cameras at a wedding although I think Sharmi had enough equipment to cover most things. The speeches that followed I will never forget, the emotion really was something else, the people, the setting, it all really was something to be cherished.

Well enough from me and just time to say an enormous thanks to Alid and Vip and their family and friends for such an incredible 2 day wedding one I will never forget. If you have a few minutes I would really encourage you to take a peek at the 2 day wedding slideshow . Last but not least it was fantastic to meet up with Lourdes and Gabina from M-Moments weddings these ladies are amazing at what they do, thanks ladies.

Amelia + Des | Palacete de Cazulas Wedding

July 4, 2011  |   1 comment

Amelia and Des got in touch way back in May 2009 and I had the pleasure of meeting them on several occasions and also shooting a great pre wedding shoot with them both last year. Cazulas has always been one of my favourite destinations and has a very special feel to it and is steeped in history. The intimate ceremony took place in the chapel with the one and only Padre Peter! which is always guarantees plenty of good humor through the ceremony and we certainly got that. After cocktails on the terraces with breathtaking views of the white villages it was time for dinner, some great speeches and then some fantastic flamenco ( great job Amelia and Des ) all that remains for me to say is it was such a pleasure working with you both and meeting your friends and family. Just a few that caught the eye here and really hope you both enjoy all the images. All the best of the future and really looking forward to designing you a stunning album.

Jeremy

Big Thanks to:
Kathryn Parr
Jenny, The Spanish wedding planner

Amelia: WOW.....we are both just so happy with the pictures. We have been studying your blog for the last 18 months when we initially got in touch with you and have been amazed by the quality of your work. The slideshow in particular was beautiful. We have found ourselves just watching it on repeat over and over again. People have commented that they felt as if they were there at the wedding when they viewed it. You have a real gift and talent for capturing natural, genuine emotions and we are sure that you will continue to make many couples very, very happy. We can't wait to create an album with you. Love Des & Amelia xx ( July 10, 2011 7:45 pm )
