Joan + Mark | Palacete de Cázulas

May 22, 2013  |   1 comment

Well what better place to get into the full swing of the wedding season than the always amazing Palacete de Cázulas. I have been documenting weddings here for many years and never tire of the beauty and mystic of this wonderful venue. I met Joan and Mark a long time ago and I think they were actually my first booking for 2013 and I was very much looking froward to this one.

Ruth ( her images coming soon ) and I made the trip up to Cazulas on an indifferent day to be fair. Up in the hills around Otivar they pretty much have their own weather system and I challenge anyone to predict weather at this place. As it turns out we had a bit of everything! and it gave Joan and Mark the chance to use up pretty much every inch of the venue, drinks outside, drinks inside, first course outside, the rest of dinner inside. ( You will see from the images the sudden change of venue )

Despite the challenges of the weather and some very willing and able guests and staff it was a day to remember! from the beautiful ceremony conducted by Padre Peter to the tear jerking speeches. It was my one and only trip to Cazulas this year which is kind of the way I like it. Till next time.

Thanks to…….

Everyone who helped move the table and chairs!!!

Jenny + Stephen | Palacete de Cazulas | Granada

July 20, 2012  |   0 comments

Well is seems like a really long time ago but it gives me great pleasure to share a few more images from the stunning wedding of Jenny and Stephen. Palacete de Cazulas has long been one of my favorite venues. I  had several Skype chats with Jenny and Stephen from there kitchen table in Chicago in the months leading up-to the wedding and it was one I was very much looking forward to.

The preparation all took place in the lovely bridal suite at Cazulas and was full of plenty of laughter which is always a good indication of a great day ahead. The ceremony itself took place in Almunecar and it was great to make the journey there and back in a lovely old vintage Rolls Royce. After a beautiful ceremony and ice-cream for some! it was back to Cazulas for the party, out journey was slightly delayed after an elderly lady slipped over in front of the Rolls whilst crossing the road, despite my finest efforts of trying to help her ( she was fine ) we had to retreat as a French lady was pretty much convinced that I was driving and had run her over! ( I wasn’t and didn’t )

Food is a bit thing for Jenny and Stephen and they were very lucky to be able to bring there own chefs from Chicago to prepare a feast and oh my was the food good! dinner took place under the stars and some very entertaining speeches it was party time!

I am sure the party continued long into the night and was the type of wedding it was a real treat to be a part of. Really hope you enjoy a few of my faces and thanks again for an unforgettable wedding.

A huge thanks to the following for making the day such a success.

CAZULAS | GRANADA

February 7, 2012  |   0 comments

One of my most favorite venues for smaller intimate weddings.

This jewel of Andalucian architecture dating back to 1492, is set deep in the heart of the Spanish hinterland between the coast (1/2 hour’s drive) and Granada (1 hour’s drive).

Painstakingly restored into an outstanding country residence easily able to accomodate up to 34 guests. (The average group size is usually about 12 to 20 persons.)

Amelia + Des | Palacete de Cazulas Wedding

July 4, 2011  |   1 comment

Amelia and Des got in touch way back in May 2009 and I had the pleasure of meeting them on several occasions and also shooting a great pre wedding shoot with them both last year. Cazulas has always been one of my favourite destinations and has a very special feel to it and is steeped in history. The intimate ceremony took place in the chapel with the one and only Padre Peter! which is always guarantees plenty of good humor through the ceremony and we certainly got that. After cocktails on the terraces with breathtaking views of the white villages it was time for dinner, some great speeches and then some fantastic flamenco ( great job Amelia and Des ) all that remains for me to say is it was such a pleasure working with you both and meeting your friends and family. Just a few that caught the eye here and really hope you both enjoy all the images. All the best of the future and really looking forward to designing you a stunning album.

Jeremy

Amelia: WOW.....we are both just so happy with the pictures. We have been studying your blog for the last 18 months when we initially got in touch with you and have been amazed by the quality of your work. The slideshow in particular was beautiful. We have found ourselves just watching it on repeat over and over again. People have commented that they felt as if they were there at the wedding when they viewed it. You have a real gift and talent for capturing natural, genuine emotions and we are sure that you will continue to make many couples very, very happy. We can't wait to create an album with you. Love Des & Amelia xx ( July 10, 2011 7:45 pm )

Lauriel + Eduardo | Palacete de Cazulas | Wedding in Spain

December 11, 2009  |   3 comments

Well the penultimate wedding of the year is a bit of an epic. Last month Jenny and I travelled to Palacete de Cazulas for the wedding of Lauriel and Eduardo, USA meets Brazil in the mountains of Spain in November. A mixture of Disney magic and Jenny The Spanish Wedding Planner organised an amazing wedding, events started the evening before, with Masquerade Ball and murder mystery, the planning and organising of which was simply amazing, the costumes speak for themselves and added to the drama of the 14th century surroundings made for quite a night. So take a breath and onto the wedding day, again we were blessed with the most amazing weather and a wonderful ceremony conducted by Padre Peter in the chapel on the grounds. After drink and canpaes on the terrace it was back for dinner and lots and lots of dancing!!! A huge thanks to Arami from Elegante Films who flew over from Florida to capture the day, pop over to his website for some clips of the wedding in the future.

Thanks so much guys for letting us share your day with you and hope you enjoy a few favourites of nearly 900 images.
