Lucy + Guy | Beach House | Wedding

The long awaited wedding of Lucy & Guy! I have been luck enough to work at the Beach House on a few occasions photographing food so was thrilled to be asked to document what was a very special day. I am extremely lucky in that the weddings I shoot are extremely diverse from one to the next but no matter where you go or how many weddings you shoot they are all very unique this one had several “firsts” for me.

So, the first “first” is Lucy would be the first bride to have walked and shattered a glass door the evening prior to her wedding and spending most of the wedding eve with a bag of frozen peas on her nose and still managing to look amazing the day of the wedding.

Every bride has a different approach to the “prep” some will choose to be with a couple of close friends, some prefer to just be with their mum, some alone, and occasionally you get some who prefer, 3 dogs, 3 bridesmaids, 4 flower girls, 6 page boys, which always makes for interesting images. Of course when you own a restaurant as good as the Beach House then finding a venue is pretty easy, down the stairs and turn left.

Lucy and Guy chose the beach for the ceremony and the wonderful Lizzie Marriage to conduct an emotional ceremony. June + Beach + Marbella = Hot….so after the ceremony it was time for some shade and cocktails, champagne and canapés for around 150 guests from around the world.

My second “first”. I love horses and you see them at many weddings in Spain in various roles but never have I been treated to the Andalusian dancing horses let alone outside the chill-out bar on the beach in Marbella! it was a majestic sight, and of course the first time I have ever seen a horse stand on a brides veil! (see image)

As you would imagine the food and wine, entertainment, everything was absolutely top notch! After lots of very funny speeches it was time for the part to begin and as you can imagine it was some party! and even included a little bit of golf and cigars from the boys! A truly “Epic” wedding.

Hope you enjoy a few of my favourites.
