Todd & Teresa’s wedding seems like a long time ago now as the rush of May weddings continue and then heading into the mad month of June!  Part of the love of the job is being able to relive everything whilst working on all the images in the digital darkroom and Todd & Teresa’s images brought back memories of a superb day, perfect setting. perfect weather, perfect vendors and such a great group of people to be around. Thanks so much for inviting me to document your day. If you would like to view the SLIDESHOW then please do.

Teresa Valentin: Jeremy, Todd and I cannot thank you enough! We went through every single photograph with my grandmother who was unable to be present in Spain and she really felt like she was at the wedding because you did such a beautiful job capturing every moment. We really feel like we can step back in time and relive the magical moments and emotions that occurred on our big day. Thank you for being so easy going. My family and I cannot say enough great things about how wonderful you were to have at our wedding, not only for your artistic eye but also for your warm personality. It was a pleasure having you there! Love, Teresa and Todd ( June 5, 2012 1:44 pm )

Heidi + Lalo | Barcelona 2 day wedding

May 21, 2012  |   3 comments

Amazing, incredible, awesome! not my words but those of a guest in Heidi & Lalo’s guest book and those three words pretty much sum up the entire experience. Heidi & Lalo live in LA and made the trip over to Barcelona with close family and friends from far and wide. As some of you will know I absolutely love these kinds of weddings and having the chance to hang out with people this cool for a few days was a real treat.

The Friday began with a coach trip out to a fabulous venue for a touch of local culture and paella cooking and  lovely lunch. WIth barely time to catch your breath it was then off to the cava producers Codorniu, chances are if you like cava you will have sampled some of this at some point. The sheer vastness of the premises is something to behold and despite the odd guest fading a little after lunch we were all treated to fantastic tour and tasting.

As if that was not enough for one day it was swiftly back to Barcelona before the rehearsal dinner in the newly renovated Hotel Espana and the incredible dining room boasting original hand painted murals on the walls, I was politely told that use of any flash would result in instant removal  which gives you some idea how precious they are.

So where were we? After so much to absorb from the Friday it was hard not to have some sort of expectation about the Saturday and the only remaining 17th century palace in the gothic area of Barcelona seemed a suitable location, even boasting the original furniture from the 17th century . Palau Moxo is a truly stunning location, I have  never seen so many chanceliiers in one room anywhere before and it is actually worth taking a peek at their website to view the venue from the past.

The wedding ceremony took place in the church directly opposite the Palau Moxo and having shot in many stunning churches in the past this has to be up there with one of the most beautiful. After a lovely ceremony it was back across the square for a traditional Japanesse blessing followed by cocktails and canapés in the courtyard.

Dinner was as you would expect superb, and also accompanied by an incredible solo concert pianist ( You probably were not expecting much less than that by now ) and after speeches and tears it was time for cake cutting in the main in the lounge area and lots more tears!

Can’t thanks you enough for allowing me to share such a wonderful experience with your friends and family and it will certainly be a wedding I shall never forget. If you would like to view the slideshow from the two days then please CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE SLIDESHOW   if you were a guest then viewing is a must, if you weren’t it is still a must!

A huge thanks to everyone who made the wedding such a great success and as ever great to work with you all.

Diana + Matthew | Antequera wedding

May 10, 2012  |   0 comments

Two things you don’t really want to hear at a wedding are the words “Wind” or “Rain” and definitely not the two of them in the same sentence. Alas we did have both sprinkled with a few drops of sunshine but it also made for very unique images. Come rain or shine or probably any weather for that matter, Diana was very determined to have her wedding outside and as you can see below, the rain parted and a wonderful ceremony was held  with views over the Andalucian countryside.

After a windy but beautiful ceremony it was quickly back inside to the log fire and canapés before relaxing for dinner and speeches in a beautifully decorated room. Diana and Matt’s first dance was simply incredible and not something you learn overnight! Thanks so much to you both and your wonderful family and friends for letting me share your wedding day and really hope you like a few of my faves below.

If you would like to view the slideshow from the day then please just click here and enjoy. The Slideshow.

Of course weddings like this don’t prepare themselves so a huge thanks to Michael + Laura for all of the amazing work and Natasha for such a moving ceremony.

Olga + Tino | Mallorca Wedding

April 25, 2012  |   1 comment

Well here we go for 2012! And what a great way to start with the wedding of Olga and Tino. Olga contacted me pretty late in the planning stages and actually booked when we were in Udaipur ( India ) of all places. No less than three days back from India it was off to one of my most favourite places the stunning island of Mallorca, if you haven’t been then trust me you should go it really is a magical island.

The wedding itself was a full on day! with two ceremonies in one day, the first one in the registry office in Palma followed by a civil ceremony at the S’olivaret a very pretty venue.  After the ceremony it was time for drinks and canopies before dinner and plenty of speeches and dancing.

A big thanks to you all for making it such a memorable day! Really hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from the day.

Rajasthan | India | A collection of images

April 23, 2012  |   0 comments

As many of may know Dee and I set off on an adventure to India for most of March. I didn’t know what to really expect from India but we have both been mesmerized by its people and places and are already planning another trip for next year. We visited Delhi, Ramathra fort, Rhantambore Bagh ( tigers ) , Jaipur ( Holi ) , Jodpur, Jaiselmer, Pushkar and Udapur ( our favourite place ) and used pretty much every available form of transport.

We have many friends who have been to India and most would agree that trying to describe India is not something easy, the wonderful people, the food, the noise, the dust, despite all the chaos though neither of us have probably every felt so calm as we did in India ( apart from the odd road trip ) this is certainly something I will never forget.

We saw many amazing things on our travels and the list of magical moments would be vast. As you can imagine trying to decide which images to share was not easy! we have sooooo many images between us trying to decide on 40 was not easy and I change my mind every day so I thought I would post some of my current favourites.

For the more techie ones amongst you, the choice of what to take was tough, my “day job” really only ever involves using 2 prime lenses but knowing what to take and travel light and be able to capture what I wanted was tough. I ended up taking a D700 and a couple of prime lenses and other than the safari it pretty much remained in my case, the real here for me was the little X100, nearly all of the images you see here were shot using this camera, and for a holiday camera it worked out great despite its little quirks.

Really hope you enjoy some of these images and Thank-you India we will be back ( very soon )
