Castillo de Santa Catalina Wedding | Matt + Jo

Being a photographer, it’s always an honour when asked to document another photographers day. Matt is a very talented photographer from the UK and when he and his stunning bride Jo asked me to document their day at one of my favourite venues Castillo de Santa Catalina it was a no brainer.

I have documented a few weddings over the years at Castillo de Santa Catalina and it really does tick pretty much every box for a wedding photographer and probably a bride and groom as well.

All the perfect beautification took place in the top room of the hotel with Kathryn Parr and amazing views out over the Malaga bay. Matt was busy downstairs greeting everyone before the ceremony got underway.

Padre Peter performed a very amazing ceremony in the spectacular ceremony space of the ruins of the Castillo, the ruins are off-limits so a 3rd camera on remote control enabled me to get one of the best ceremony views.

After the ceremony everyone’s enjoyed cocktails and canapés and of course pints of Guinness! I only got to spend a short time with Matt & Jo but it would probably be fair to say then enjoy a good party? After some great speeches, it was time for the party! To give you some idea of how good the party was, DJ Tristan was still talking about it 3 weeks later when I saw him….

Thanks so much to you both for inviting me to document your day and really hope you enjoy a few of my favourites and all the other images.

J
