It’s Spring and time for wedding number one of the 2014 season, and what better place to start than with Charlotte + Simon at the beautiful Cortijo de los Caballos near Benahavis.

The first wedding of every season is a little like the first day back at school, so it was nice to see so many familiar faces working on the big day!

The ceremony took place within a confetti throw of Charlotte’s room and made for a dreamy setting in the April sunshine. While Simon and the boys enjoyed a wee tipple for good luck, the guests began to arrive and be seated. The lovely Natasha conducted the ceremony under the tree with close family and friends looking on. It was everything a wedding ceremony should be, a few tears (Simon), some laughter and lovely reading from close friends.

Party time! Of course every great wedding needs a great party, so after the ceremony we made our way to the pool and gardens to sip champagne and admire the gorgeous setting.

After cocktails and canapés it was time to be fed. Guests enjoyed a lavish dinner in the garden followed by heart warming speeches and of course one of Fi’s yummy cakes, which made sure everyone was in the mood for more partying and dancing.

A whisky (expertly poured by Charlotte) and cigar bar was laid on next to the photo-booth and everyone partied ’til the wee hours. In short a perfect day and the best way to start the 2014 season!
