Well if ever there was a chance for me to don a kilt it would have been this weekend! after hanging out near Granada with Lorna and Stu the previous day it was time for the perfect end to the wedding season and a day at El Oceano with the lovely Rachel + Jonny from Aberdeen. (Small world… Lorna and Rachel bumped into each other in the gym prior to their weddings, little did they know they had such great taste in wedding photographers.)
El Oceano is a stunning setting for a beach wedding and we were a blessed with glorious sunshine as all the preparation took place at the hotel. A wonderful emotional ceremony was conducted by Kevin Williams. One of the great things about a wedding at El Oceano is that everything is pretty close by! no buses or frantic car journeys just a short stroll to the pool for guests to enjoy beautiful sea views and cocktails and canapés.
After a couple of hours of relaxing cocktails the ceremony area was transformed into a beautiful dining area looking out over the Med. After some very amusing speeches it was time for a sumptuous dinner enjoyed by all.
Having worked at the El Oceano a few time over the years I always try and create a few portraits with some nice light and on this occasion I was pretty surprised to learn that a huge boardwalk was being constructed along the sea and our access to the beach was a no go!
After much strolling and discussing with Ruth we pretty much dragged Rachel and Jonny from dinner just as the sun began to set. I love original images and the fact that the board walk was still “under construction” allowed us a few minutes and an epic sunset for a few once in a lifetime images.
After the cutting of the cheese cake! it was time for the real party to begin! after an amazing solo saxophone set it was time to party the night away!
Hope you enjoy a few of my faves guys and thanks so much for inviting us to document you day.
Thanks,
Jeremy.
