As a photographer the wedding of Frankie and Dexter ticked nearly every box there is to tick. This would turn into a very long blog post if I ticked them all, gorgeous couple, gorgeous weather, gorgeous venue, etc etc, basically all of it, pretty gorgeous, we even got to shoot at the end of the Marbella club pier without fishermen! (Said no photographer ever, till now).
Top tip for a good start to your wedding day, rent a massive luxury villa about 3 minutes from the golden mile and your venue, throw in the lovely George to take care of the beautification and you have all the ingredients for a nice relaxed start to any wedding day. Dexter and the boys were hardly made to slum it either, they all got ready and the famous Marbella Club before making thereway to the beautiful setting of Villa Tiberio.
So back to the box ticking, when it comes to celebrants, Padre Peter is certainly one of my favourites, Frankie and Dexter took the decision to go “unplugged” for the ceremony, which is something I think every couple should do. He conducted a lovely ceremony on what was a beautiful October day. The end of the ceremony was marked with some serious confetti canyons! (more box ticking).
Of course no great wedding would be complete with some time for supping cocktails whilst enjoying the beautiful gardens of Villa Tiberio and the views of La Concha above Marbella. When it comes to portraits it is all about timing, spending 10 minutes in great light always beats lots of time in rubbish light, we timed our trip from the venue to the Marbella club pier with military precision and were rewarded with amazing light, hardly any people or fisherman! I don’t even have a box to tick for that one as it never happens!
As the evening light slipped away it was time for some lovely speeches followed by dancing the night away with DJ tristan and Quike. Thanks so much guys, really hope you enjoy all your images.
