After spending the last 2/3 weeks travelling around Spain I was really looking forward to being a little closer to home at the beautiful Palacete de Cazulas and a chance to work with Stacy & Jess from Weddings in Spain.
I met Lorna & Stu over a year ago and they are also friends with another couple from Scotland Jay & Angela who’s wedding I documented at Cazulas back in 2008.
Palacete de Cazulas is about a 2.5 hour drive, by now I think my car could probably get there by itself. I love weddings in October, the light is great and its that little bit cooler and the landscape a little greener. For October it was a hot one! (Even more so if your from Scotland, not sure if the kilt helps or not?) but the perfect day for a wedding.
Lorna and the girls were all very relaxed and enjoyed the luxurious bridal suite for all of the bridal preparations. Cazulas offers a great deal of choice and Lorna & Stu opted to have their blessing in front of the main house. If there is any celebrant that looks more at home than any other at Cazulas then in has to be the legendary Padre Peter who was on hand to deliver a humorous and emotive ceremony for all to enjoy, including a sand ceremony and the Spanish coin ceremony of “Las Arras”.
The lower terrace was the perfect spot for guests to enjoy canapés and cocktails whilst enjoying breathtaking views of the countryside. Dinner and speeches were held on the upper terrace beautifully decorated by Stacy & Jess.
After moving speeches and cutting of the cake everyone made their way to the pool side for the first dance and time to party the night away! Thanks so much for being such great hosts guys and really hope you enjoy a few of my favourites from the day.
Thanks,
J
