Castillo Santa Catalina is a stunning wedding venue hidden away in the hills overlooking Malaga. I had to take a slightly different approach to this wedding as it was also being photographed by Hello! magazine, but there was much for me to document as this beautiful day unfolded. I only met Rachel and Rick a few hours before the ceremony, but was instantly made to feel very at home around this cool couple who are seriously in love!
The wedding was an intimate affair with close family and friends joining the couple on what was simply a stunning Malaga day. It’s always great to see a few familiar faces at a wedding, and Padre Peter was on fine form as he conducted a ceremony that had a little bit of everything in it – tears of joy and laughter alike. Rachel and Rick had done an absolutely amazing job of decorating the venue and after the ceremony the guests enjoyed cocktails, and getting hilarious caricatures drawn of them, while the couple and family were busy with the posed images of the day with Hello!
Dinner and speeches all took place under the stars, and flamenco dancers added to a great atmosphere. “The Party” has always been one of my favourite parts, and after hearing the sound check I knew we were in for a treat. I am sure most brides would be slightly horrified if their groom asked them, “Do you mind if my dad plays a bit of guitar and I have a sing along?”, but fear not, the Parfitts know a thing or two about music, wow!
Rachel and Rick run the UK’s leading event entertainment company, the R&R Entertainment Agency, so it was no surprise that the evening was out of this world. It was certainly an epic wedding and an epic party!
Such a huge pleasure to work with you both, and thanks so much for letting me share a few images.
