Well it has been a year of some epic wedding adventures and the trip up to Mojacar for the wedding of Sorcha and Drew was no exception.

Utopian retreats is located very close to the lovely village of Mojacar and it´s not the kind of place you´re going to just “stumble across”,  Luckily for me Dee was accompanying me on this trip. Despite not being renowned for her navigational skills we managed to find the location.

Sorcha and Drew are a very cool sound couple from Northern Ireland who drove over for the wedding. They were joined by friends and family, a few of whom had adventures finding Utopia.

All of the preparation for the day took place at Utopian retreats before we made our way across the dusty landscape to the lovely village of Mojaccar for the wedding ceremony.

Wedding cars are generally not such a feature of weddings in Spain, but on this occasion the amazing “big red car” and the journey back with Sorcha and Drew was a real highlight.

After returning to Utopian retreats, it was time for the party to begin! Drinks by the pool were followed by a sumptuous BBQ and dancing round the pool to the Cuban band. Of course after one of the hottest days of the year! what better way to cool off than a dip in the pool and a cigar with your mates!
